So I haven't been thinking much fashion today because I am distracted by the events of last night. My boyfriend and I were walking our dog (the always adorable Olive) a little before 10pm when a group of three men started approaching us quickly, yelling that they wanted to ask us a question. We started to head in the opposite direction, but as we started to run off one of them started to pull out a gun. My boyfriend heard the click when he cocked it. Luckily, we ran in the right direction towards the busiest, brightest street and they were smart enough not to follow us.
We are both extremely lucky that nothing really bad happened - but I'm still slightly shaken up. When you live in a big city, though, you're bound to be exposed to at least one scary situation - and at least now I'll be more cautious at night.
I did lose a pair of sandals in the run - but they were just flip flops!
I am totally a summer person - I love summer clothes, summer weather, summer activities, summer food and summer drinks. So while most are looking towards fall for their fashion fix, I will continue to ogle summer-colored clothes until the first frost.
Both basic summer looks - but oh so different! I'm hoping one of my favorite bloggers, Geri of because i'm addicted, does a DIY of the shirt in the first shot - like she mentioned a few days ago!
