I am so mad that the Eagles invited Michael Vick to play for them. Not only did they extend an invitation, they are going to support him with a 1.5 million dollar contract. That is so shitty. They are bringing a huge mess into Philly that the Eagles most definitely don't need. As a dog lover, in my eyes someone like Vick is a bad, heartless, unforgivable person. You have to be a real shit to not just dislike dogs, but to murder them like that for sport and money. He should have come out of jail to an absolutely destroyed career, not a brand new opportunity. I am so disappointed in the Eagles for making this decision.
Checking out blogs and Twitter, it looks like I'm not the only one that feels this way. On Craigslist, people are talking about staging protests, some even going so far as to avoid buying products from companies that support the Eagles.
And Eagles, you know I love you, but you deserve everything you get. Not only are you hiring a criminal, you are bringing someone back into football that just got out of jail! I mean, I'm sure he's been working out to avoid being stabbed or having cocaine (or something else unpleasant) shoved up his butt, but it's not like that amounts to, in any way, the amount of training other non-jailed football players get in the off season. What if he's a fat sack??
In conclusion, I think the shittiest thing is that, while Philadelphia is currently outraged about his addition to their team, these feelings will instantly vanish when he actually somehow manages to play well and he'll be embraced like an old friend. Cuz, Philadelphia, I love you but you are oh so fickle.
